At Kaweah Creative, we embrace storytelling as nature embraces transformation. Our name embodies the mischievous, opportunistic spirit of the natural world - a 'winged intelligence' that knows no bounds. Like this spirit, our stories refuse to be confined by genre.

Founder & Producer
Harris Kauffman is a writer, producer, and the founder of Kaweah Creative. Shaped by early encounters with Kubrick's 'The Shining' and the short fiction of O'Connor and Proulx, he founded DEVOUR, a platform dedicated to narrative exploration. A UC Berkeley graduate, Kauffman began at Zoetrope: All-Story before joining The Directors Bureau and Storyboard Entertainment. .
His producing credits include 'A Crooked Somebody,' 'Donny's Bar Mitzvah,' and the family adventure 'Treasure Trackers,' which he also wrote. A 2020 Sundance Institute Creative Producing Lab Fellow, he continues to merge literary sensibilities with visual storytelling at Kaweah Creative.
